From the sub zero conditions of the Caspian to the humidity of the Amazon and scortching dunes of the Arabian peninsula providing transport and logsitics solutions.

Logistics is not always trucks and warehouses, sometimes we have to be more creative. One of those examples is pictured below. This machine, a 25 metre hovercraft was fitted with a pipe carrying rack to distribute large diameter pipe thoughout the rain forest of Brazil. On later projects hovercraft modified for the sub zero conditions of the Caspian where in the north temperatures drop to -30. Dedicated crews manned specialised hovercraft providing emegency and oil spill response, crew changes and daily transport of materials to gas platforms 25 miles off shore.

In Modern times most organisations are experiencing unprecedented levels of change. Change has become a way of life to remain competitive or in some cases to survive. It is essential to manage the risk associated with change and innovation. Project management brings together resources, skills, technology and ideas to deliver business benefits or to achieve business objectives. Good project management helps to ensure that these benefits or objectives are achieved Heli_Hoverwithin budget, within time and to the required quality.

Vision is essential to strategic planning and meetring targets. Focus on the business case, which describes the rationale and business justification for the project. The business case drives all the project management processes, from initial project set-up through to the finish of the project.

Some organisations use external suppliers, working alongside in-house resources, to enhance their ability to deliver successful projects. Years of practice in projects supported by a wider skill range rather than a good but possibly blinkered approach by a single discliplined person provided me with a flexible and adaptable approach to suit all projects.

Like most people, I can’t claim to have had success in every job I’ve ever done but where I didn’t the cause was indisputably funding. Read about any successful person who didn't have failures along the way, it is called experience! If you want an example of someone with a great deal of failure on the CV read the biography of Abraham Lincoln, or try Aristotle Onassis, Walt Disney, Henry Ford.

I’d like to think you had the time to read all of these pages but I know that isunlikely. If you do it will become obvious that years apart two jobs simply didn’t fly. One in Sierra Leone where it was common knowledge that funding wasn’t likely to be available but we were hopeful, and years later in UAE when my concern over funding was wrongly over ruled by directors. In fact funding had not been agreed it so myefforts had all beenin vein. Other than those two hick-ups everything I set out to do was achieved by the method outlined above.
